College is for sowing your wild oats. Have you ever heard that? While the phrase may not be as popular, the mentality remains. College is a time to let loose. Find yourself. Experiment. It's the perfect time before you grow up and get a real job. Could this really be true? Is there really no consequence to living so freely? ![]() Proverbs 23:7 says "As a man thinks, so is he." The thoughts formed in college become actions. These actions form habits which form character and determines destiny. Is it innocent? Hardly. There is always consequence to casting off restrain and abandoning wisdom. That being said, there is more to this train of thought than a warning of what not to do. What if, instead of experimenting in the ways of the world, these years could be a training ground for learning habits to be intentional for Jesus? In a student's college years, they often have more free time and flexibility than they will likely have for a long time. They are surrounded by people from various backgrounds and ideologies who are all being trained to think critically. The learning happens in the classroom and outside of it. We know living for Jesus is done in the little day to day moments. ![]() We desire to help students form godly thoughts that will one day determine their destiny but this takes time to learn. We believe college is the perfect time to walk alongside students to help them learn and grow in maturity of faith as much as they learn from their coursework. The National Chi Alpha mission is to reconcile students to Christ, equipping them to transform the university, the marketplace and the world. While it seems grandiose, with God it is possible but it begins in the little moments. The initial thoughts. The daily choices. When you partner with us, you are investing in the next generation—the future. Will you partner with us so we can walk alongside these students?
